Why Dentro? Why Now?

I anticipate these will be the first questions people ask me, so why not confront them head on.
 
Let me do the “Why Now” bit first.
 
21 years in technology recruitment, I’ve built teams and led teams of up to 45 people, delivering millions of pounds of profits, I’ve started a business from nothing but with the infrastructure in place and delivered record profits there…but it’s never been 100% on my terms or for me.  I’m in-to my mid-forties now with 3 kids, all 5 and under, late bloomer I know. I’ve seen good, bad, horrible and sometimes dubious practices.
It’s time to do things properly.  I’m not suggesting Dentro is wildly different, we do recruitment, there’s only so many ways you can skin a cat but it’s proper talent search and retention.
 
So now is the time for me to put my money where my mouth is and make this work. I will never shy away from a challenge, it’s one of my key motivators, always has been; from playing sport to entering the work force, tell me I can’t do something and watch me go.  Kind of like Michael J Fox in “Back to the Future” when people call him “chicken”, just with less hoverboards and DeLorean’s.
 
Transparency and trust and the drivers for the business.  You’ll find the pricing on the front of the website, there’s no different rates for different clients, there’s no, “let’s try for 25%” and end up at 15%.  Unashamedly, we are who we are and we’re worth what we are worth.
 
I want to make hiring fun again, spending 40+ hours per week working and not enjoying it, is a fast track to burnout and depression.  Let’s enjoy it and find great people for you to enjoy working with.
 
Why Dentro?
 
Dentro means “inside” in Spanish (and Italian), as you can probably tell from my ghost-like complexation, I am not Spanish. I lived there for a few years and it’s my favourite place to be, also “Inside Talent” didn’t have the same ring to me.
 
Dentro Talent it is.
 
I went with talent because we have 3 service lines and one of them is a really strong and affordable Talent-As-A-Service model, I think you’re fighting an uphill battle if you only play at contingent recruitment and a “recruitment” company suggests this.  Talent, to me, means I’m not placing people and leaving you to it.  I want to work on a retention plan, I want to support your employer branding and I can act as an extension of your team.  So; Talent felt more aligned.
 
Dentro Talent is go.
